George's Marvelous Medicine

Awhile ago we finished reading another fabulous read aloud and I forgot to post about it. I love the author Roald Dahl. His books are some of my very favorite to read aloud! We first read his book The Magic Finger and then read George's Marvelous Medicine. This book kept our class on the edge of their seats. They were so excited to hear this book each day, which makes it even more fun to read! George's Marvelous Medicine is about George and his grandma. His grandma is not like the nice, sweet old lady we think of when we think of our own grandma though. George's grandma is a mean, old witch. So when George has to take her her daily medicine, he decides to make up his own medicine to give her instead. Have your child tell you what George puts into his new medicine and what happens to grandma when she drinks it....you won't believe it!! Such a fun book! Right now we are reading The Mouse and the Motorcylce but will be turning to another Roald Dahl book soon!
