Last week in science we learned about insects. After some discussion, making a list, and reading a few books about insects, we finally agreed on what makes an insect an insect. Have your child teach you what makes an insect an insect. Here is a cheat sheet for you: they must have 6 legs (no more - no less), they have 3 body parts (head, thorax, abdomen), they have 2 antennas. Ask your students about butterflies and bees because we spent some time learning about those two insects specifically.
